In short
Optical Fibergrass is a level 100 Botanist crafting reagent gathered from a single legendary node in Living Memory. It opens at 04:00 and 16:00 Eorzea time and stays up for 2 Eorzea hours, which is about 6 real minutes. The node stays hidden until you've read the Alexandrian Botany Folklore tome.
About Optical Fibergrass
The fibrous tendrils that form this peculiar grass have exceptional light-transmitting properties.
Optical Fibergrass becomes Optical Nanofiber, the cord inside the Everseeker's crafting and gathering tools. If you're building or selling that tool set, this is the botanist half of the material list.
The node needs 4,540 Perception, a touch more than the 4,480 the first wave of Dawntrail legendaries asks for, plus the Tome of Botanical Folklore - Alexandria.
It shares a node with Blackseed Cotton Boll at the Arena of Valor in Living Memory on the 4:00 and 16:00 window.
