In short
Octahedrite is a level 100 Miner ore or stone gathered from a single legendary node in Yak T'el. It opens at 10:00 and 22:00 Eorzea time and stays up for 2 Eorzea hours, which is about 6 real minutes. The node stays hidden until you've read the Yok Turali Mining Folklore tome.
About Octahedrite
A chunk of mineral not dissimilar to the meteorites that litter the forest floor in Yak T'el.
Octahedrite refines into Octahedrite Nugget and is a reagent for Synthetic Dark Matter Alpha. The Alpha both feeds the Crumbling Aqueduct Metal expert relic component and is a turn-in for the level 100 feature quest Keeping the Old Ways Alive. The recipe wants eight Octahedrite per batch.
The node needs 4,740 Perception and the Tome of Geological Folklore - Yok Tural.
It spawns at The Cerulean Cexudross in Yak T'el on the 10:00 and 22:00 window.
