In short
Ilmenite is a level 90 Miner ore or stone gathered from a single legendary node in Mare Lamentorum. It opens at 08:00 and 20:00 Eorzea time and stays up for 2 Eorzea hours, which is about 6 real minutes. The node stays hidden until you've read the Celestial Mining Folklore tome.
About Ilmenite
A hunk of moon ore rich in titanium.
Ilmenite smelts into Ilmenite Ingot, used across the Rinascita gear and the Indagator's tool set. All level 90 recipes, so glamour and leveling are the reasons to gather it now.
The node needs 3,600 Perception and the Tome of Geological Folklore - The Sea of Stars.
It shares a node with Prime Achondrite at Sinus Tormenti in Mare Lamentorum on the 8:00 and 20:00 window. Achondrite wants 3,850 Perception.
