In short
Merbau Log is a level 80 Botanist log gathered from a single legendary node in Il Mheg. It opens at 08:00 and 20:00 Eorzea time and stays up for 2 Eorzea hours, which is about 6 real minutes. The node stays hidden until you've read the Vrandtic Botany Folklore tome.
