In short
Gyr Abanian Ore is a level 70 Miner ore or stone gathered from a single legendary node in The Fringes. It opens at 00:00 and 12:00 Eorzea time and stays up for 2 Eorzea hours, which is about 6 real minutes. The node stays hidden until you've read the Gyr Abanian Mining Folklore tome.
